Being the Only Marketer on the Team
If you're the entire marketing department, you already know: it's not one job. It's ten.
You're the strategist and the copywriter. The designer and the editor. The social media manager, the email person, the data analyst, the one who's supposed to "just whip up a quick graphic." All of it. At once. Usually reporting to someone who’s never heard of a funnel before.
At a real agency, those roles are ten different people who each do one thing well (specialists). You're doing all ten, learning half of them on the fly, and somehow expected to move the needle like a full team would.
So when it feels impossible, it's because it kind of is. You're not underperforming. You're under-resourced.
The fix isn't working later into the night. It's picking the few things that actually matter, doing those well, and letting the rest wait without guilt. You cannot do a ten-person job by trying harder. You do it by being selective.
And on the days it's genuinely too much? Getting one more set of hands isn't failing. It's just math finally adding up.
You were never meant to be a whole team.
We’re happy to help.
